Pittsburgh TechFest: “Bridging Pittsburgh’s software communities”

Join Hans Scharler as he presents, “The Internet of Things is Here, but Don’t be Scared”, at this year’s Pittsburgh TechFest at La Roche College on Saturday, June 7, 2014. This will be the first time that the Internet of Things makes it into the Pittsburgh TechFest as a topic.

The Pittsburgh TechFest is open to software development professionals from Southwestern Pennsylvania and surrounding areas to get together to talk and learn about coding, tools, agile, project management, etc.

Hans Scharler’s “Internet of Things” talk starts at 11:15 on June 7, 2014 in Room 311 at La Roche College in the Systems and Sciences track of the Pittsburgh TechFest. Hans will dive into the Internet of Things, software patterns, and ways to get started for developers of all experience levels.

Web of Things Talk at O’Reilly Ignite

Join our very own Hans Scharler at one of the O’Reilly Ignite events Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Brillobox in Pittsburgh, PA. Hans will be giving a talk entitled, “Tangled in a Web of Things”, which is about the current fragmented state of the Web of Things and the future of connected devices and services. Hans is the co-founder of ioBridge and contributor to ThingSpeak, an open source Internet of Things platform. The format for Ignite is 20 slides, 5 minutes, 15 seconds a slide, as they say, “Enlighten us, but make it quick.” There will be other great talks, so make sure to join us at Ignite Pittsburgh!
